Born in 1964 and Hunan Province, Mr. Liu Yao has a colorful experience. After graduating from Hunan University with a graduate degree in Finance and Economics and a certificate as a senior accountant, he continued his study in MBA hosted by Tsinghua University and China New Entrepreneur Development Program co-hosted by Development Research Center of State Council and Stanford University, majoring in the Science and Arts of Management. Once a university teacher, an employee in Ministry of Water Resources and Power Industry and Department of Energy as well as an executive in SOEs, Mr. Liu now is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Mauhwa Group.

In 1992, he created the management mode of "Chinese Learning for Fundamentals and Western Learning for Practical Use" in his company and brought out the development principles featuring "Building Corporate Cultures inside and Establishing a Brand Outside", which greatly benefited the development and expansion of the company.

He received numerous honors for his great contribution in his 20-year long career, e.g. "China's Property Market Powerful Driver", "Centenary Individual Driver of Property Market Value", "Innovator of Real Estate", "Top 13 Persons in Beijing", "China's Most Influential People in Real Estate" as well as "China's Top 50 Outstanding Character in Urban Development and Real Estate Sustainability".
